PORTS OF ENTRY: Mozambique have 5 International airports. Beira International airport, Maputo International Airport, Valunculos, Fillipe Jacinto Nyusi (Xai-Xai), Nampula.
Mozambique offers idyllic tropical islands, ancient monuments, botanical gardens, renaissance beauty and the interesting Money Museum.
Cabotage is a big problem in Mozambique.
It is advised that you fly to the bigger airports and avoid the smaller strips and airfields. When you fly to the smaller airfields the CAA and local companies may think that you are doing illegal charter flights and that will land you in very deep water.
Mozambique is a tropical paradise right on our doorstep.
Mozambique does not want aircraft entering the country to fly from one point to another and then exit, for example from Maputo to Vilanculos and exit the country. You need to fly Maputo to Vilanculos, return to Maputo and then exit the country. There are many highly restricted airspaces in Mozambique. Be careful.

Ibo Island located on the northern Mozambique coastline as part of the Quirimbas Archipelago. Of the string of 12 main and 20 smaller islands, Ibo is the most accessible. On the surrounding atolls you will find the most exclusive, romantic lodges providing superb diving opportunities and mythical beaches.

In Beira is Macuti beach with a bizarre scene. Right in front of the remains of the abandoned red and white light house, lies a shipwreck on the sand.
During low tide you can walk right through the wreckage.
The Macuti, a sea-going tug was regarded as so significant that it was featured on a postage stamp. In 1985 was intentionally run aground directly in front of the lighthouse. It serves a as a breakwater. Early morning or late afternoon, the place has an otherworldly air.
